Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Contractor to remove existing sealant and gaskets around west curtainwall glazing, clean joints, and apply exterior silicone joint sealant (wet glazing) to the glass perimeters of windows and tool smooth. Sealant should also be applied at exterior frame joints. Do not seal weep slots at the bottom of vertical mullions. i. Basis of Design Product: Pecora 860 Silicone Sealant or approved equal. ii. See Exhibit 3 b. Contractor to clean and re-caulk all joints between brick/metal panels/EIFS and window perimeters, doors, window lintels, penetrations (lights, security cameras, electrical and plumbing lines, etc.), around awning at North door, and control joints. Cove joints between concrete sidewalks and brick veneer or storefront frame require a closed cell backer rod if joint is larger than 1/4 inch. i. Basis of Design Product: Sika Masterseal NP-100 ii. See Exhibit 4 c. The Contractor will perform miscellaneous masonry veneer wall tuckpointing to all mortar erosion bed and head joints in the building façade. This shall be completed for both types of brick facades and at signage walls. At mortar cracks in the brick, the existing mortar joints shall be routed out and repointed. The repointing mortar shall match the color of the existing mortar and shall be Type ‘N.’ At the vertical crack at the west side of the front canopy wall provide stitch-tie bar wrapped around the corner to tie crack together. Metallic staining in concrete bricks from lignite aggregate impurity, should have the aggregate drilled out, epoxied with concrete brick dust to hide repair, then cleaned with Sure Klean Light Duty Concrete Cleaner. i. Basis of Design Product: Midland Repointing Mortar, or equal, Prosoco Stitch-Tie Bar and Prosoco Sure Klean Light Duty Concrete Cleaner. ii. See Exhibit 5 and 6
