Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Tennessee’s Office of Environmental Health and Safety is seeking a qualified vendor to provide for the management and disposal of hazardous waste. Primarily, the service area is the UT Knoxville campus, but other campuses across the state may be included on an as needed basis. The successful respondent must provide the following services: packaging, labeling, manifesting, movement, and final disposal of hazardous waste. The waste consists primarily of mixed laboratory chemicals generated from research and academic instruction. The waste can generally be classified into the following categories: Flammable and Combustibles, Corrosives, Poisons, Reactives, Flammable solids and Oxidizers.
