Specifications include, but are not limited to:The University of Tennessee is seeking a vendor to perform all planning, administration, execution, monitoring and cleaning requirements necessary to safely remove asbestos/lead-containing materials in accordance with State and Federal Law and as directed by the University of Tennessee. The awarded contractor shall submit the following before start of project: • Notifications as required prior to disturbance of asbestos/lead/ materials to the appropriate governing authority. Presently, the State of Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation Solid & Hazardous Waste Management Toxic Substances Program. • Landfill acceptance letter from Tennessee Division Solid Waste Management • When work under this contract occurs outside of Knox County, contractor shall be responsible for compliance with all State, Federal and local regulations and notifications. • See the Technical Specifications below for more information.
