Specifications include, but are not limited to: ENGINE—POWER UNIT • A diesel engine shall be provided to power the chassis and the sweeper. The engine shall be a Cummins 6.7L six cylinder turbo charged diesel with GHG 21 emissions control with a horsepower rating of not less than 240 hp @ 2400 RPM and shall provide a peak torque rating of not less than 560 ft/lb at 1,600 RPM. Minimum displacement shall be not less than 409 cubic inches. Engine shall be made in North America. • Engine shall be equipped with a full-flow spin-on oil filter, fuel filter and fuel water separator. • In order to have the cleanest intake air possible, the air intake shall be at least chassis hood level. • Engine to be equipped with a 3-point safety engine shutdown device that shuts down the engine for low oil pressure, high coolant temperature, and low coolant level. • A diesel engine shall be provided to power the chassis and the sweeper. VARIABLE POWER DIVIDER • A Variable Power Divider shall be installed between the chassis engine and the Allison transmission allowing efficient use of chassis engine power for sweeper operation and variable ground speed while sweeping. • Variable Power Divider shall produce a 1:1 speed ratio between the chassis engine and the Allison transmission while the sweeper is in "Drive Mode" (non-sweeping) mode.
