Specifications include, but are not limited to: Process and dispose of hazardous materials in both emergency and non-emergency situations Conduct environmental characterizations, including reporting of the degree of contamination, if any, of City of Tempe owned or controlled property that is believed or known to be contaminated with hazardous materials Conduct removal or on-site treatment of hazardous materials that have been released Provide emergency assistance for responding to fires, spills, releases and other similar occurrences where hazardous materials may present a substantial immediate endangerment to human health and the environment, provided that the City of Tempe, in its sole discretion, determines that emergency response by the Contractor is necessary Provide laboratory services for analyzing the composition of hazardous materials Provide assistance to the City of Tempe in conducting any household hazardous waste collection event, if required Present to the City of Tempe for review, prior to any household hazardous waste collection day, its specific Collection Site plan (contingency plan) as required in 29 CFR 1910.120 Provide all personnel, equipment, protective clothing, containers, tools, and materials necessary to perform required responsibilities Accept, process, and dispose of any contaminated water resulting from the City of Tempe performing personnel decontamination Provide other related services as requested by the City of Tempe Contractor will provide all labor, equipment and necessary materials needed for the proper handling, loading, transportation, treatment and storage of hazardous materials Contractor shall be responsible for loading all waste materials onto their equipment for transportation. This includes the securing of all materials onto pallets if necessary Hazardous waste generated by the City of Tempe which has been characterized shall be collected for transportation to a treatment, storage, or disposal facility by the Contractor within three working days from receiving a request from the City of Tempe and shall not be returned to the City of Tempe for any reason Under no conditions will collected waste be returned to the City of Tempe sites The Contractor's processing and disposal will consist of the following: Any sampling, analysis, and categorization the contractor or City deems necessary All lab packing when necessary Transportation Disposal
