Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Saratoga Springs, in an effort to encourage growth, access and mobility for the residents of the City, has proposed to widen two roads already existing in the City of Saratoga Springs Pavement System. These roadway widenings will provide the roadways with greater capacity for traffic flow. One of these roads, Saratoga Road, will a classified as an arterial road with an 85’ ROW. Theother, 145 North, will remain a collector with an increased 49.5’ ROW. Additionally, 145 North is planned to be a 180’ ROW arterialin the planned future. The locations of these roads, as well as their proposed cross sections are provided in the attached exhibit. The City is requesting civil engineering services for complete roadway, utility, lighting and landscaping designs. The Engineer shall be responsible for the surveying necessary to identify the existing topography and all existing utilities. An updated drainage system along both roadways will be necessary to control storm water runoff on and off site as well as complete utility designs to accommodate future development and compliant with City Master Plans. Scope will also include development of a design criteria document, coordination with the City and any of the City’s consultants, and complete geotechnical investigation as necessary for design. Engineer shall attend all project team meetings and site visits, provide final designs, specifications and bid and contract documents, assist in advertising and bidding the project and provide complete contract administration.
