Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Provide the design of a generator capable of providing standby power to full building load. The generator shall be connected to a new automatic transfer switch and shall include a permanent means to connect a portable generator to the distribution system for when the permanent generator is unavailable. The selected engineering firm shall be responsible for obtaining information on existing building loads and provide a preliminary generator calculation for review. b. Evaluate generator fuel type including associated cost of bringing natural gas services to Lottery Building. c. Replacement of the existing service entrance equipment MDP1 and MDP2 located in room 042. MDP-1 is a 208/120V 3-phase, 4-wire 600A switchboard and MDP-2 is a 208/120V 3-phase, 4-wire 400A switchboard. d. Provide coordination with existing tenant facility and their existing generator. e. Provide construction administration, project management, and full-time resident engineering services for the entire construction project. f. The generator is to be located outside with consideration given to required site preparation with relocation or adjustment to peripheral equipment and existing structures and surveillance/security measures as necessary. g. Engineering services should include geotechnical investigation including borings of proposed area to support generator foundation design.
