Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide expertise to increase the capacity and competitiveness of DBE firms. DOTs receiving federal funds must implement 2 programs- 1. DBE Support Services to provide training, assistance, and services to increase DBE capabilities and facilitate development into firms able to successfully compete for and perform on federally assisted projects; 2. Business Development Program to provide training and technical assistance to increase opportunities for successful participation as primes or subcontractors on federally and non-federally funded projects. WisDOT must be in compliance with 49 CFR Part 26 as a condition of receiving federal transportation infrastructure funding. Consultant support aids in WisDOT’s continued compliance.
