Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall be responsible for the removal and disposal of the existing wooden steps. In order to construct a ramp in similar manner to the opposite side, the contractor shall cut the existing asphalt and remove asphalt, sub-base, and dirt to create the needed grade. The cut shall be made along the existing painted yellow line running east to west. The cut shall begin at edge of the asphalt and move east along the painted yellow line not more than eighteen (18) feet. The contractor shall then cut, beginning at the end of the previous cut directly toward the river, running parallel to Caney Creek. All materials removed shall be disposed of in an approved location on site. Installation: The contractor shall form and pour a concrete ramp to closely resemble the existing ramp on the opposite side. The concrete shall have a minimum thickness of six (6) inches and shall be mixed for 4,000 PSI, with a brushed finish. The contractor shall install #4 rebar wire in the form prior to pouring the concrete. The ramp shall slope east to west or parallel to the Ocoee River. The ramp shall have a 25-foot retaining wall on each side, with a toe wall to the tile on the northern side of the ramp. Each retaining wall will have sleeves for a handrail installed. The primary slope should not exceed 20% slope and will be approximately twenty-five (25) feet long. Silt fencing shall also be used to reduce erosion into the river.
