Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor is to mow County right-of-ways, including all roads within the specific section. The Contractor is not responsible to mow in the immediate areas of a bridge. A County Representative will approve mowing prior to work being done each time. WORK PROCEDURES & EQUIPMENT: Acceptable equipment will either be a Bush-Hog type or a Rotary type mower that is large enough to mow both sides of the ditch where applicable. The equipment will comply with all safety regulations while mowing (such as flashing lights, reflector signs, etc). The Contractor is responsible for establishing mowing zones, signs, etc., in area where mowing is being done. The Contractor is responsible for ensuring that the roadway is clear of excessive cut grass/debris within 48 hours of mowing a county route. Typically, there are three (3) mowing cycles per year, taking place in/around May, July and September of any given year.
