Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Cedar Rapids is seeking bids from qualified Contractors for the Resurfacing of Veterans Memorial Stadium Parking lot. The location of the parking lot is between Veterans Memorial Stadium and Kingston Stadium, 950 Rockford Rd. SW. The parking lot will be cleaned, and all debris removed prior to the start of any work. Seal small cracks. Rout out cracks smaller than 1.5” in width, blow out with high pressure, seal with hot rubber and pull a squeegee over the joint for a T seal. Alligatored cracks do not need to be routed. 1.4 Seal wide cracks. Blow out and install hot mastic, or an equivalent material, in wide cracks, greater than 1.5” in width. Ensure an air and water tight seal. 1.5 Parking lot sealant. Material shall be gilsonite modified sealant or an equivalent material that will protect the lot for four to five years. 1.6 Parking Lot Painting. Re-stripe, using D.O.T. approved traffic marking paint, single line parking stalls, traffic markings, handicap parking spots, cement bases on the handicap parking signs and verbiage on the reserve suite parking spots. The parking lot is approximately 159 yards x 166 yards. Contractor is responsible to measure exact size.
