Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1. Ability to pre-sort 1st class co-mingled mail, both daily letters and flats, through the use of Optical Character Reader (“OCR”) technology. 2.1.1. The average monthly letter volume for University is 15,000 (monthly range is approximately 6,000 to 55,000), and the average flat and package volume is 1,100 (monthly range is approximately 150 to 2,400). 2.1.2. Monthly volumes are not guaranteed. 2.2. Ability to process daily media mail via USPS. 2.3. Ability to drop OCR vendor-processed letters, packages, flats, certified and international mail pieces at Gateway Bulk Mail Entry Unit (BMEU) in Springfield, Oregon on the same day of pick-up from University. 2.4. Provide daily pick-up of letters, packages and flats for OCR processing, as well as on-call pick-up when requested. 2.5. Provide monthly detailed invoice to University for services and vendor pre-paid postage, indicating services rendered, departmental cost center when applicable (to be provided by University with each mailing piece), and the postage discount from OCR rebates. 2.6. Provide a daily recap of presort mail to include departmental cost center, piece count, mail type, cost for services rendered and postage in the form of an uploadable spreadsheet (Excel or .csv file) weekly. 2.7. Understand and comply with all US Postal Service regulations and requirements to meet mailing standards according to Domestic and International Mail Manuals (DMM & IMM).
