Specifications include, but are not limited to: construction of a new 4.42-acre gravel parking lot with a new 4,800 square-foot pre-engineered metal maintenance building, fueling station, modular office, wash pad, and utility service connections as further described below. Parking Lot and Site Improvements The parking lot will be constructed of Type 2 aggregate base course with a concrete driveway approach, concrete slabs and foundations for the maintenance building, fueling station, aggregate pad for the modular office, and associated utility services. The parking lot will also include perimeter detention basins, site lighting, and concrete curb islands with electrical service for battery warmer hook-ups. A manual cantilever rolling gate will be retro-fitted into the existing fence at the proposed driveway. Bus Maintenance Building The Contractor will be responsible for procurement and construction of a pre-engineered metal building and associated concrete foundation, floor slab, three automatic overhead doors, lighting, mechanical HVAC system, electrical service, and plumbing as indicated on the Drawings. Structural design plans and specifications for the metal bus barn building, conforming to the performance specifications provided in the Drawings, will need to be supplied by the Contactor’s supplier for Building Department review before a Building Permit will be issued. Modular office The modular office will be procured by LCSD, delivered to the site by others, and installed on a gravel pad prepared by the Contractor. Modular office installation will include connecting proposed domestic water, sewer, and electrical services as shown on the Drawings.
