In the event there are changes of temperature requirements according to industry standard for healthcare linens, temperatures shall be adjusted accordingly to ensure compliance. All linen shall be washed, dried and folded, using only non-allergic soaps, detergents, bleaches or other chemicals to render the finished products clean and usable. All linen must be treated with both a softening agent and an antiseptic, which inhibits the growth of bacteria: A laboratory bacteria count report will be furnished by the supplier monthly to each hospital. All linen is to be fluff dried (with exception of flatwork in a dryer at a consistent temperature). These guidelines must meet Center for Disease Control’s guidelines. All linen must be folded neatly and uniformly and packaged by the type (e.g., sheets together, pillowcases together, and towels together). Wash Cloths- Bundle of 50 each Towels (folded)- Bundle of 20 each Flat Sheets (folded)- Bundle of 10 each Knit Fitted Sheets (folded)- Bundle of 5 each. Pillowcases (folded)- Bundle of 20 each Thermal Blankets (folded)- Bundles of 3 each Bedspreads (folded)- Bundle of 3 each It is the sole responsibility of the supplier to be familiar with and have trained staff that complies with OSHA standards regarding blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials. Supplier shall meet all Joint Commission, federal, state and local government requirements. Supplier shall comply with the Center for Disease Control’s “Guidelines for Laundry in Health Care Facilities. Designated hospital personnel may periodically inspect the Laundry Facilities and equipment of Supplier with a Supplier staff member.
