Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Arkansas State Archives (ASA) seeks newspaper microfilm duplication and digitization services to digitize 100,000 to 110,000 pages of Arkansas newspapers from microfilm and to make them available to the Library of Congress website, Chronicling America. B. ASA received a National Digital Newspaper Program (NDNP) grant for Cycle 4 (2023-2025) of the Arkansas Digital Newspaper Project (ADNP). C. There are three (3) components to the newspaper digitization project: 1. Component 1 will be the duplication of one (1) copy each of approximately 100 to 125 rolls of newspapers on microfilm to 35 mm microfilm. 2. Component 2 will be the scanning of approximately 100,000 to 110,000 pages of microfilmed newspapers. 3. Component 3 will be the production of the digital assets for approximately 100,000 to 110,000 pages of microfilmed newspapers according to standards prescribed by the National Digital Newspaper Program (NDNP). D. All components must follow the standards prescribed by The National Digital Newspaper Program (NDNP) Technical Guidelines for Applicants 2023-2025 Awards. E. Prospective Contractor shall reside in the United States of America.
