Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall purchase and install parts, complete repairs and replacement of key components such as toilets, water fountains, flush mechanisms, valves, piping, gauges and assorted accessories, which assist in the efficient and proper operation of the system. The awarded Contractor shall be called upon to perform repairs, installations, and services that involve the following: The work will include the provision of a total maintenance and repair program consisting of a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, laying out, installing, replacing, piping, and testing plumbing service and plumbing systems and components. Systems include, but are not limited to domestic water, heating, cooling, hot water systems, conditioned water systems, sanitary sewer and storm systems as well as all related components required for municipal buildings and facilities. Services will include, but not be limited to installing and repairing piping, fixtures and maintenance for commodes, urinals, drinking fountains, clogged drain repairs, as well as additional plumbing related issues as they arise and the services necessary to insure safe, well maintained influent, effluent and closed loop systems for City employees and the public. Although the majority of services will be requested by the Facilities Department, there may be occasions where services will be requested by other City Departments. No guarantee of the actual service requirements is implied or expressed by this request for proposals. Service requirement shall be based on actual need and assigned by direction from the Facilities Supervisor. Anticipated work may include service calls on an as needed basis, small projects and emergency repairs- please also see the Calls for Service section. There is no guaranteed amount of work. The City reserves the right to solicit additional bids or quotes from other vendors for any job.
