Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1 Design and Specification Development The contractor shall provide mechanical and electrical design services for biddable construction specifications for the replacement of pneumatic sewage ejector system, air compressor and associated controls in the mechanical room of Building 10 at Wildwood Correctional Center in Kenai, Alaska. The successful contractor shall provide design services to complete a bid ready set of plans, specifications, cost estimates (PS&E) and bidding and assistance for the duration of the project. The contractor shall provide final 100% design plans and specifications no later than June 30, 2024. 2.2 Task 1 – Plans & Specifications Package The contractor shall complete an individual bid-ready P&S package for the project site as outlined below. A. Plans in Hand (PIH) Description. Prepare draft contract documents addressing the primary elements of the project. B. Technical Specifications. Technical Specifications shall include Division 2-16, or another department approved format. This reflects the level of completeness of the plan set and estimate. Include all appropriate pay items and include drafts of any significant project-specific specifications. Discuss these with the department before submitting the review documents. C. Work Description and Basis of Design. Replace the existing pneumatic sewage ejector system, air compressors, associated controls, valves and piping. Project design requirements shall include a phased approach in an occupied facility. Relocation of the sewage ejector will be considered.
