Specifications include, but are not limited to: The primary objective of this project (“Project”) is to identify and assess viable sources of limestone and other Industrial Minerals “in and around the County” to meet the growing demands of the County’s projected population growth and corresponding infrastructure needs. For purposes hereof, the term “in and around the County” shall mean the geographic area of the County, together with a surrounding 40-mile buffer area. The scope of work (“Scope of Work”) for the Project will encompass a comprehensive assessment and documentation of the following: Estimate of Projected Product Demand • Identify the projected quantity of Industrial Minerals required to meet the construction aggregate demand in and around the County over the next twenty years, based on projected population growth (“Projected Product Demand”). . Location of Potential Industrial Mineral Sources to Meet Demand • Identify the location of existing operations that currently produce Industrial Minerals in and around the County (as well as operations that have been officially announced, but have not yet come online), and the projected output of all such operations over the next twenty years (in each case, broken down by specific product type) (collectively, “Projected Existing Product Potential”). • Based on the above, determine the projected gap (“Gap”) between the Projected Product Demand and the Projected Existing Product Potential, i.e., the remaining amount needed to meet demand over the next twenty years. • Identify the location of potential “new” sources for Industrial Minerals to meet the Gap demand, i.e., locations of “availability” of such deposits, as well as quantity available (in each case, broken down by specific product type and “quality” designation, if appropriate). This assessment will include an analysis of geological characteristics of identified deposits, as well as an evaluation of the accessibility and feasibility of extraction in compliance with local, State and federal regulations.
