Specifications include, but are not limited to: Services to be performed are daily/routine, periodic/interim or restorative services as defined in cleaning cycle frequencies. The following list constitutes the overall list of services, the individual specifications for each building will dictate services and frequencies required in that building. Frequencies will vary depending on size, function and occupation of the building. Note: Actual frequencies, services days and times, will be determined and defined in the Building Service Contractor’s Janitorial Plan after awarding of the contract. • Police Entrances (Daily/Routine) o Police exterior sidewalks, entrances and exits for debris and trash as well as potential bodily discharges. Routinely or periodically sweep or hose exterior sidewalks or entrances. o Sweep or vacuum all entrance systems (exterior scraping mats, interior walk off mats and interior textile mats). Weekly; clean floor mats located in lobby, loading docks and throughout the facility to remove soil and debris. If vacuuming does not remove soil, sweep floor mats with a stiff broom until soil has been removed. Lift all floor mats to remove soil and moisture underneath and then return to the normal location after cleaning. After cleaning, mats will be free from debris and dirt and laid flat without wrinkles or bunching. It is recommended that mats are periodically cleaned by professional company. (Monthly) o Clean all entrance door glass (inside and out). o Wipe down handles and push plates with sanitary cloth wipe. o Clean stainless kick plates. • Empty Trash (Daily/Routine) o Empty all trash receptacles and replace liners as necessary. o Remove liquid, organic or other foreign substances from receptacle. o Collect and remove all trash from building and place in appropriate trash container or dumpster. • Recycling (Daily, Routine or As Needed) o Empty all recycling receptacles and replace liners as necessary. o Remove liquid, organic or other foreign substances from receptacle. o Collect and remove all recycling material from building. o Ensure recyclable materials are kept separate from garbage and emptied into the appropriate bulk recycling container on site. • General Dusting (Daily/Routine) o Dust horizontal surfaces that are within the range of vision such as common window ledges, cubical walkway panel tops and highly visible objects. o Low dusting are areas that are below reach such as chair legs, heating vents, baseboard edges, etc. (Weekly) o High dusting are areas that are beyond reach without the aid of a tool. (Monthly) • General Spot Cleaning (Daily/Routine) o Spot clean all walls, doors, glass, kick and push plates and all other vertical surfaces, removing fingerprints and smudges, paying attention to areas around light switches, door knobs and door frames.
