Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Utah Transit Authority (UTA) is preparing for the design and construction of a new administration building at the UTA Mt. Ogden campus, located on an existing UTA owned property at 135 W 17th Street in Ogden. The new building will service as administration offices for the Mt. Ogden business unit. The building will include office space, dispatch, break areas, conference rooms, and a locker area for bus operators. UTA requests Statements of Qualification (SOQUs) from multi-disciplinary architectural and engineering design professionals (A/E) interested in performing design and construction phase A/E services for building design and design support during construction. The needs that the Project will address include but are not limited to the following: • Review the existing Mt. Ogden Facility Conceptual Site Plan Report and coordinate with UTA to confirm space needs. UTA is currently developing building space standards that should be completed early in 2024. The selected team will apply these space standards to the building design. • Prepare plans and specifications for bidding and selecting a construction contractor to construct the civil, structural, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems of the new building access and parking to accommodate the necessary functions of the new building. Refer to the Conceptual Site Plan Report for elements to be evaluated and designed. • Budget for the project is limited to $11,700,000 and may not allow for construction of a building that meets the 2050 needs. UTA is currently seeking additional federal funding for the project. The A/E team will be responsible to determine the necessary footprint for the 2050 needs and then scale the final design plans to the available budget and provide a design that can be expanded to the 2050 footprint in the future. • Prepare the predevelopment application and submit it to the City during the preliminary phase of the project. • Submit final plans to the City to assist with securing the building permit. • Construction support services during the construction phase.
