Specifications include, but are not limited to: Equipment: The contactor must provide equipment to provide oil service to the fryers as listed in Section 1.7 for the delivery of new and removal of waste oil. The contractor must also provide the necessary equipment, to include holding tanks, portable units, filtration equipment, pumps, lines, recirculation equipment, and any other equipment as needed. Additionally, the contractor must provide monitoring, support, maintenance, repairs, installation, and training, etc. UWM prefers energy-efficient components and features to reduce operating costs. Integration: The equipment must be compatible and integrate seamlessly with UWM’s existing fryers and set-ups, including accommodating our current connections and/or retrofitting, as necessary. UWM prefers that the equipment fits into our current spaces. However, if not, the contractor must perform all the work that is necessary to accommodate their equipment which must be included in the bid price. This type of work may include, but is not fully inclusive, plumbing, electrical, construction work, and permitting. This work must be pre-approved by UWM and must be provided with your bid response. If UWM and the contractor cannot come to terms, UWM will award the contract to the next bidder. Please note: If you are bidding on alternate equipment, you must list the equipment in your bid response, and fully explain why your equipment is equal to or better, specifically addressing the system capabilities, quality, user ease, and safety. Tanks: Indoor: UWM’s current indoor/outdoor tanks are as follows: 1400 lb. capacity Fresh Oil / 1230 lbs. capacity Waste Oil 81” Height x 28” Diameter. Portable units, (on casters) hold 350lbs or 46 gallons. Must provide holding tanks as required, one for fresh oil and one for waste oil. Portable units must have quick couplings for fresh and waste oil connections or equal to or better. Must provide fresh oil and waste oil lines from fill box to holding tanks and from holding tanks to fryers and recirculation lines from fryers to waste tank Must provide heating and cooling elements and /or any other equipment necessary to keep the oil within prescribed proper temperatures. Must securely attach the tanks with mounting inserts to the floor or wall. The portable units must have casters, hydraulic brakes and a handle or handles. Must provide an accurate visible oil level gauge that is readily visible. Must provide an overfill switch on the tanks. Materials and components of the tanks must meet all safety standards to include food grade polyethylene. Further safety specifications will be found in Section 3.15.
