Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The intent of this system is to feed Powdered Activated Carbon (PAC) to two (2) separate locations simultaneously. These locations are a 48-inch raw water line and a 60-inch raw water line at the Lake Maumelle Intake Pump Station. Each feed location will have a dedicated dosing pump. B. Provide one (1) packaged Powdered Activated Carbon system designed to meter and deliver Powdered Activated Carbon in dry form, wet and dilute the Powdered Activated Carbon in a mixed tank and deliver the slurry by pumping to the point of application. The system shall be a packaged design with all required components necessary for a complete system. The system shall be rated for a Class II, Division 2 classified area. C. Powdered activated carbon is a critical part of the process. It requires the highest level of quality, reliability, and performance to optimize the process in which powdered activated carbon is being used. D. System manufacturers shall have at least five (5) years of experience manufacturing Powdered Activated Carbon systems and have a minimum of ten installations of similar equipment as specified herein. Manufacturers must provide a statement with their bid indicating the proposal meets the specifications in full and without exception. Any exceptions shall be provided with the proposal detailing specific areas that do not meet the specification requirements and the benefit these exceptions offer the Owner. Deviating from these specifications and or not providing a list of deviations from these specifications may result in a bid being rejected.
