Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Natural Resources is seeking bids to repair and apply epoxy protective flooring for the basement and hallway of the Fort Snelling Chapel. Basement Floor: o 55’ long x 30’ wide, o 13’ long x 6’ wide, o 12’ long x 6’ wide Hallway floor: o 44’ long x 12’ wide, o 10’ long x 9’ wide, o 8’ long x 6’ wide, o 3’ long x 2’ wide. Degrease, wash, scrub, and thoroughly rinse clean floors. Allow to dry before continuing. Prepare surfaces as necessary to ensure adhesion of subsequent coats. o Vendor may vacuum steel shotblast and/or hand/tool clean. o Loose and delaminating flooring to be removed; well adhered to remain. o Vacuum assisted, walk behind concrete grinding and polishing unit with diamond blades to prepare surfaces for new flooring adhesion, may be used. o All debris caused from work on site to be disposed of in vendor provided container. Repair severely cracked and eroded areas by restoring to surrounding plane Apply flooring system at approximately 1/16” thick. o Dura-flex flooring system or approved equal o Flooring system shall consist of a low odor, 100% solids epoxy resin with aggregate fillers. o Apply epoxy resin and broadcast with aggregate. o Sweep off or vacuum up excess aggregate. o Apply additional epoxy resin for a final seal coat. o The finish is to be tough and durable and suitable for light industrial use. o Finish will be non-slip, in a solid color to be chosen by owner. o Finish with consistent non-slip & no blemished or flawed areas.
