Specifications include, but are not limited to: PSD’s Office of the Director’s Inspections and Investigations Office (IIO) seeks to improve itsjails’/prisons’ safety for employees, incarcerated individuals, and visitors by preventingcontraband, including narcotics, from entering its jails/prisons. PSD’s IIO acknowledges that itsmailrooms are one of the entry points for mail-borne threats (e.g., physical, chemical, andbiological threats, etc.) to enter its jails/prisons.PSD’s IIO needs a vendor who can promptly deliver and install a mail screening device to detectand intercept powders, liquids, biological or nuclear threats at each of its jails/prisons listedabove. PSD needs a device that at minimum, can detect illegal substances and contemporaryjail/prison contraband. Moreover, the vendor must provide in-person and refresher trainingmedia to PSD’s employees on the use of its mail screening device, provide warranty on all mailscreening devices, provide preventative maintenance & repair on all mail screening devices,and provide 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days/year support to PSD’s employees relating themail screening devices.
