Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Salt Lake City Department of Airports is working to advance air cargo opportunities at SLC International. In an effort to do so, SLCDA is seeking an individual consultant with expertise and experience in air cargo, and a knowledge of freight forwarding. The Respondent may provide the following: • The Respondent will work to increase cargo movement directly from SLC. • Maximize current air cargo payloads. • Understand the flow of commodities through foreign trade zones. • Identify leads at target companies. • Develop relationships with freight forwarders and custom brokers. • Monitor import and export flows. • Assist in creating air cargo development strategies. • Balance air cargo flows. • Identify a niche sector(s) and world region(s) to focus on developing air cargo. • Become actively involved in the region’s logistics community.
