Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide comprehensive FAA and manufacturer-approved or recommended aircraft maintenance for the Indiana State Police Aviation Section fixed-wing fleet (currently consisting of a Cessna 172 and a Cessna 182). Maintain each aircraft on a maintenance tracking software program and provide the Aviation Section with weekly updates that state how many hours (or days) until the next specified maintenance event. Charge only the hourly labor rate specified in the contract. Make every effort to find parts and components at the lowest cost and highest quality. Provide accurate cost estimates of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as needed. Provide yearly maintenance cost forecasts or estimates as needed. • Use only FAA-certified and properly trained maintenance technicians. • Use only PMA-certified parts. Complete an annual inspection at each 100-hour inspection. Aircraft must be stored in a heated maintenance facility before, during, and after maintenance unless approved by the Aviation Section. Any ongoing maintenance that is expected to exceed the original estimated cost must be discussed with and approved by the Aviation Section before completion.
