Specifications include, but are not limited to: The proposed Stanley R. Zupnik Hall project is an interdisciplinary engineering building that involves the construction of a new, sixstory structure plus basement with an approximate size of 160,000 GSF. The building includes six primary levels including the basement, occupied by offices, instructional space, research laboratories, seminar rooms, conference rooms, and support space. The upper level is used as an enclosed mechanical penthouse, with portions acting as exterior roof wells for outdoor mechanical equipment. The northeast main entrance will feature a multi-story atrium that extends from the basement through fifth floors. The building steps out beyond the first-floor footprint on the north, east, and south sides of the building to provide additional square footage. This project will be pursuing minimum LEED Silver Certification under LEED v4 for New Construction.
