Specifications include, but are not limited to: Project: West Native Herbicide Application Location: This project is located on BLM lands in Iron County: Pdf vicinity maps are included in the solicitation showing the site, as well as the google earth file (kml). Nearest Airport: Cedar City airport is within 21 air miles of the project area, and there are some possible Landing Zones within the land owned by BLM that could serve as staging areas. It is up the contractor to decide the best place to apply herbicide from. Acreage: 1779 acres Pricing: Bids are to be submitted on a cost per acre basis. Herbicide Rate: BLM Land: Plateau herbicide will be applied at 6 oz/acre in 7 gallons of water/acre + 7 ounces MSO surfactant per 100 gallons of spray mix on the polygons. The contractor is responsible for supplying all mixing equipment and water, as well as the chemicals and MSO. Flight Pattern: All the polygons will need to be flown utilizing a pattern that is 80% of the actual demonstrated swath width of the aircraft so as to avoid skips in coverage. GPS Technology: The aircraft must be equipped with a global positioning system that is used to establish lines for 100% coverage. Application Dates: Between November 23rd – December 15th, 2023.
