Specifications include, but are not limited to: Firewood. All firewood must: A. Be natural wood, non-treated natural wood power poles and kiln dried wood. Presto-style logs, pressure-treated wood, treated power poles, milled lumber, planned wood, manufacture wood, and any other forms of nonnatural, or treated wood are unacceptable; B. Be fully seasoned, free of rot and mold, and dry with a moisture content of less than 20% verifiable by end grain testing with a digital moisture meter of OPRD’s choice. OPRD may refuse any pallet with rot or mold, or that is found to have wood which exceeds the 20% moisture reading. If OPRD refuses a pallet for those issues, OPRD shall notify Contractor and Contractor shall remove the refused pallet and deliver a replacement pallet at no additional costs, within three business days of OPRD’s notification; C. Not contain ash species of any type unless, the ash wood is certified USDA heat treated to T314-a standards, (60° C/140° F for 60 minutes) as described in the USDA APHIS Treatment Manual.
