Specifications include, but are not limited to: Renovation of multiple classrooms across campus including technology improvements, finishes, furnishings, building systems, security, and safety improvements. Includes all related work to complete the project. This project is part of an ongoing program to maintain teaching facilities in state-of-the-art condition. These upgrade projects keep the classrooms attractive for both existing and prospective students. The classrooms will be located in the following buildings: Taylor Law, Hoskins, Jessie Harris, Panhellenic, Strong Hall, Baker, Min Kao, Dougherty, Tickle, Dabney/Buehler, SERF, Ferris, Perkins, Nuclear, Physics, Hesler, Austin Peay, Ayres, Walters, South College, Alumni, Claxton, Bailey, Nursing & Nursing Annex, Hearing & Speech, Communications, Student Services, McClung Museum & Tower, Henson, Hodges, Humanities, Art/Architecture, Music, Business, SMC, HPER, Clarence Brown, Black Cultural, Baker Center, Presidential, BESS Buildings, Morgan, McCord, Plant Biotech, Brehm, Food Sciences, Food Safety, Vet Teaching, Greenhouses, CRC Buildings, Burchfiel, and in Robinson, Geier, Dogwood, and Magnolia Halls, Student Union, Mossman, Zeanah, and EESRB. The project will be broken into several subprojects as classrooms are identified. Subproject 1 will cover work in Brehm Animal Sciences, Communications, Debney/Buehler, Ferris Hall, Health Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) Building, Stokely Management Center, Tickle Engineering, and Walters Academic Building. Scope in various classrooms will include new ceilings, diffusers, lights and controls; replacement of outlets and provide additional power where needed; installation of new clocks; new flooring and patch / repair / paint walls.
