Equipped with a fully enclosed and insulated power pack, 800 gal tank, 1000 cfm Vacuum pump capable of 15” (381 mm) of Hg _____________________________ 1.2 GENERAL The vacuum excavator shall be designed for the purpose of potholing trench excavations and sub bases. All components or features not specifically mentioned, which are necessary to provide a complete unit, or that is standard equipment, shall be included in the bid. 2.0 CONTROLS & INDICATORS Operator’s station must be located in a lighted, lockable, compartment on the curb side (right side). Operator’s station must provide an hour meter, water pressure gauge, water pressure regulator, blower temperature indicator, engine oil pressure indicator, engine temperature indicator, and auxiliary power connection. Must be equipped with a water pressure control variable from 0 to 4000 psi. 2.1 ENGINE Vacuum Excavator must be power by a Diesel motor. Engine must be an EPA Tier 4i or greater compliant naturally aspirated, liquid-cooled diesel or equivalent with electric start housed inside a fully insulated, lockable compartment. Engine must produce at least 49 gross hp Engine fuel tank capacity must be 20 gal (57 L) to provide 9 hours of operating time at full throttle.
