Specifications include, but are not limited to: Upgrades to HVAC systems with a concentration on exhausts in various labs for the Colleges of Architecture & Design and Arts & Sciences. Project will include all related work.; This project will make modifications to improve local exhaust capture, evaluate operations locations and existing exhaust facilities, and fixes. Evaluate and maximize the outside air and exhaust capacities and balance the air. Provide additional capacity as needed and ensure the system meets the 2018 International Mechanical Code in the Art + Architecture Building, the Ceramics Building, and Ceramics Annex. The Ceramics Building will require a modification of the exhaust capture systems to better match the use of silica mixing areas.; The work is specifically concentrated in spaces occupied by the College of Art. The work will address longstanding HVAC needs which contribute to poor ventilation. The work will involve performing a study to determine the best solution for the problems that have been identified in previous reports, developing root cause analysis, and designing and installing fixes. Existing reports will be available to the awarded firm.
