Specifications include, but are not limited to: This is a bid for Annual Water Valve Maintenance Services that comply with American Water Works Association (AWWA) standards. The valve maintenance will include cleaning out valve boxes and operating valves. Annual Water Valve Maintenance Services will require each of the 7,580 valves owned by the Town to be operated and inspected once every five years. The total number of valves may increase each year as additional infrastructure is added to the Town’s water system. Critical valves as identified by the Town (valves at hospitals and schools) shall be operated once a year. At a minimum the awarded contractor will be expected to operate and inspect approximately 1,516 valves throughout each year of the contract
