Specifications include, but are not limited to: It is the intent of Charlotte County to secure the services of a Contractor experienced in directional drilling to provide the materials, labor, equipment, and any other associated appurtenances necessary to perform Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) services as specified in the CCU Design Compliance Standards dated November 1, 2011, and in accordance with industry standards and Federal, State and Local rules, regulations, and guidelines. The work required will include furnishing and fusing of the pipe materials on-site, furnishing drilling mud, the construction of bore pits, maintenance of bore logs and other labor, equipment, and materials and/or items for the drilling operation as directed by Charlotte County Utilities (CCU) for potable water, reclaimed water and sewer main extensions/replacements, as specified, on an “as required basis”. CCU will complete all testing, complete all connections, and perform any other miscellaneous items necessary for completion of this work. Plans shall be provided to the awarded Contractor for each project. The County reserves the right to establish the exact limits of work in the field and to add to or delete from the Project as it deems necessary.
