Specifications include, but are not limited to: Successful Applicants will be considered for a Grant to fund activities related to beginning or expanding production capacity for the development of modular housing and components to supply home builders and developers in meeting housing demand. New or expanded capacity uses must boost current or add new production of modular homes or components by lowering construction costs, increasing production speed, improving efficiency, or adding or expanding operations. Eligible uses include, but are not limited to the following activities that will result in new or expanded production in Oregon: • Increasing manufacturing space; • Purchasing equipment; • Standardizing design; • Developing infrastructure; • Enhancing transportation; and • Making advancements in materials and technology. Ineligible uses include, but are not limited to: • Personal expenses; • Direct investments in equipment or personnel that would not result in new or expanded production in Oregon; and • Expanding production lines that do not serve the State (i.e., investment in a product that does not conform with Oregon State Building Codes (ORS Chapter 455), and therefore, could not be used in modular homes in the State).
