Specifications include, but are not limited to: Consultant to update the Mapleton City Stormwater Master Plan, with the option of extending the contract with additional stormwater consulting services until the following Master Plan update (anticipated ±5 years). Specifics in Future Tasks will depend on the findings and recommendation of the updated Master Plan. The offer of contract extensions for Future Tasks is at the sole discretion of Mapleton City. Initial Tasks 1. Field Reconnaissance: The selected consultant team shall perform an assessment of the City’s existing stormwater facilities. This will include reviewing the City’s existing GIS data, supplemental field data collection, revising or augmenting the City’s stormwater infrastructure mapping, identifying problem areas, and assessing constraints or limitations. 2. Mapleton Canyon Flood Hazard Assessment: As stated in Section 1, Mapleton City has a FEMA floodplain and Shaded Zone X shallow flooding area. The upper portion of FEMA floodplain is currently being revised by the Maple Hills LOMR, which will become effective Jan 8, 2024. This LOMR can be found on the FEMA Flood Map Service Center. This task will consist of reviewing the hydrology used to establish the 100-year flow of 321 cfs, and extending the 2D modeling from that LOMR through Mapleton so flooding potential can be assessed. Part of the Master Plan Update detailed below will be to identify a project(s) for the 100-year conveyance of flood flows from Mapleton Canyon.
