Provide all necessary sanding ridges, grinding high spots, floating depressions, scraping off foreign debris, application of cement-based self-leveling compound, or any other labor and/or materials required to ensure the surfaces provided are sufficient and satisfactory to provide a high-quality finished product free from defects. LVP Installation • Provide TAS, Expedition, Fjord and Spice Road (or approved equal) • 1/3 staggered installation with no visible gaps between planks • Provide matching transition strips between various finished floor surfaces • Sweep and cover with protective paper (provided by general contractor) immediately after installation Carpet Installation • Provide Shaw Contract, Scenery, 00770 Artistry (or approved equal) • Provide 8lb rebond carpet pad at carpeted areas (bedrooms and stairs) • Vacuum carpet immediately after installation • Provide matching transition strips between various finished floor surfaces Vinyl Base • Provide Roppe, Pinnacle 4” Base, 178 Pewter (or approved equal) • Install at all bathrooms Contractor Responsibilities Flooring contractor is responsible for the following: • It is the intent of this contract that all carpet and LVP installations are completed in a neat and workmanlike manner to a high quality of installation with minimal number of carpet seams and hardwood joints. • Correct all items noted inspection deficiencies within 48 hours. • Job site cleanliness: utilize CIHA provided dumpsters; throw out all crew created debris, keep work areas swept and picked up on a daily basis. • Crew Supervision: monitor workmanship and compliance with construction documents and building codes. • Worker safety
