Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has a business opportunity and is requesting proposals to select a concessionaire who can maximize the opportunities for all Minnesotans and visitors to the state to experience a water-based guided tour at Itasca State Park (ISP). The concessionaire that receives the contract award must provide a park themed guided tour that enhances the visitor experience at the park, fits with the nature-based recreation approach, and is conducted in a manner that is not detrimental to the park or surrounding environment and does not detract from Itasca State Park visitors that are not participating in a tour. In return for direct access to the guests of Itasca State Park and use of park property, the concessionaire will be required to pay a minimum of 10% of the gross sales to the DNR.
