Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) Vendor shall complete pest control services at each location on a monthly-basis. The vendor will complete and be paid for twelve (12) service visits each year. Pest control services include the use of properly registered pesticides and/or the use of approved devices at scheduled times and at pre-planned intervals to provide adequate levels of insect and rodent population suppression. 2) Pest control service shall include coverage to prevent and treat the following: cockroaches, mice, rats, silverfish, ants, yellow jackets, bees, wasps, centipedes, earwigs, millipedes, crickets, moths, indoor tick control, indoor flea control, and spiders. 3) Pest control services at each Town building shall include all rooms, closets, toilets, kitchens, hallways, stairwells, attics, basements, elevators, plus any additional building portion not specifically described herein. 4) Emergency services: If any pests are discovered by Town personnel, the vendor shall respond within twenty-four (24) hours after notification to correct and address the situation. 5) Termite inspections and treatments are not included with this contract. 6) Vendor must provide technicians that are state-certified and licensed. The vendor must comply with the applicable Federal, State, and local pesticide laws and regulations, including but not limited to all of the “Rules and Regulations Relating to Pesticides” as promulgated by the RI Department of Environmental Management (October 2006, as amended), including licensing and application 10 regulations, record-keeping, certifications, transportation and storage of chemicals, etc. 7) The vendor shall perform services during regular hours of operation (Monday - Friday) in the various buildings, except when special conditions require servicing to be completed when a building is vacant after regular working hours or on weekends. There will be no additional charge for this service. In addition, service must be completed on a mutually agreed upon day/time as some of the Town buildings are not staffed at all times and arrangements must be made to meet the vendor at the location. All products, materials, and equipment must be compatible with the current occupancy of the building (i.e. the normal building function(s) must be allowed to continue during any and all periods of application of pest control products, materials, and equipment, unless specifically authorized in advance by the Town). 8) A designated Town employee must sign each service ticket to authenticate that the service was performed for each building. A copy of this signed statement must accompany the invoice and be submitted to: Town of Narragansett, Accounts Payable, 25 Fifth Avenue, Narragansett, RI 02882 on a monthly basis. 9) The vendor, at the conclusion of the last service period, shall remove all insecticides, rodenticides, and bait stations from all locations. 10)The Town reserves the right to remove/delete any of the building locations during the length of this contract without penalty, by notifying the vendor in writing, thirty (30) days in advance. In addition, the Town reserves the right to add buildings to this contract, at a cost to be negotiated between the Purchasing Manager and the vendor.
