Specifications include, but are not limited to: It is the desire of the City of Wichita to contract with a vendor to deliver tank wagon loads of approximately 1,400,000 gallons of total fuel on an “as needed” basis to be used by the Airport Authority, Community Facilities, Police, Fire, Wichita Transit, Park, and Public Works & Utilities. Deliveries of less than 7,000 gallons will be considered a tank wagon load. For bid purposes, bidders will indicate a markup per gallon by fuel type to be added to the "OPIS" published low price for the Wichita Area Wholesale Suppliers. This markup per gallon will include freight cost, but not any taxes, super fund or cleanup fees which will be additional as applicable. Applicable taxes will be charged separately as determined by the City. Note: The City will pay the preceding Friday OPIS published low price for the fuel received during the week plus the listed mark-up per gallon. The successful bidder will be required to meet the following: (A) All diesel fuel must meet the following minimum specifications: Gravity, API 42.8 / 34.6; BTU/Gal., Gross 134,200 / 139,100; Sulfur, Total 15 ppm ULSD / 15 ppm ULSD; Flash Point °F 142 / 185; Centane No. (index) (45) / (45); (B) Gasoline must meet the minimum rating of 87 octane. E10 – No more than 10%. (C) Fuel deliveries will be made on "as needed" basis to the several locations as listed.
