Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall provide skilled fence builders and equipment operators. Wood posts shall be set in dug or drilled holes Dig holes for setting wood posts to the depth as shown in the drawing for setting posts. Set posts plumb and to the spacing, grades and depths as shown on the drawing, unless staked otherwise. Posts shall be set to a preferred depth of 3’. Wood post spacing shall be spaced 10’ apart. Holes shall provide adequate open space around the post so that back-fill can be tamped the full depth around the post. Back-fill gradually and uniformly with soil around each post; compact back-fill firmly from the bottom of the hole to the ground surface. Wood posts shall be a maximum of 10 feet except in extreme rocky areas; the Project Inspector can approve the spacing greater than 10 feet. 21’ poles shall be spaced on the posts as follows (Refer to Attached Pictures): Pole 1: (bottom of pole from ground): 19” Pole 2: (bottom of pole from ground): 30” Pole 3: (bottom of pole from ground): 43” *Total Fence Height approximately 46” (Fluctuations in total height based on pole diameter are expected) Then the poles will be alternated as show in the picture as follows (Refer to Attached Pictures): Pole 1: (bottom of pole from ground): 12” Pole 2: bottom of pole from ground): 25” Pole 3: (bottom of pole from ground): 37” *Total Fence Height approximately 44” (Fluctuations in total height based on pole diameter are expected) 6. Poles need to be attached to the posts by drilling a hole through the post and the pole and inserting a #2 Re-Bar ~22" long. Then with the use of a small pipe, the Re-Bar needs to be bent over so that it will allow for some flex in the wood as it gets wet and freezes but still holding the poles in position at the appropriate height. (Note: The contractor will be responsible for providing an adequate amount of #2 Re-Bar to complete the exclosure to the above the specifications). 7. Install 1 (10’) Gate at each exclosure a. Bolt Gates to Post and Pole Fence b. Leave adequate spacing to allow for 10’ gates to be installed c. Gate Locations - To Be Determined by Project Inspector
