Specifications include, but are not limited to: Salt Lake County, on behalf of its Human Resources Division (“County”) is soliciting proposals from qualified insurers (“Proposer”) to provide comprehensive reinsurance coverage for its employee and retiree health insurance plans (“Plan”). The contract will be awarded to one insurer, able to work with County’s two (2) medical insurance carriers. County is seeking proposals for services starting January 1, 2024. The purpose of soliciting proposals is to ensure that the administrative fees, overall costs, and benefits offered to the County are as competitive as possible for the services provided. County is interested in contracting with an insurer that can improve benefit offerings, enhance cost effectiveness, and provide excellent customer service. Proposers should be able to demonstrate their financial stability and experience in this sector and have issued reinsurance for a minimum of five (5) years
