Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2000 Model Minimum Grader, (Champion 740, equal or better), with fourteen foot (14’) standard 3/4 inch grading blade, and 3/4 inch serrated edge, hydraulic snow gate, hydraulic snow wing, rear ripper, six radial all season sipped tires (Bridgestone V-Steel Snow Wedge or equivalent), and six tire chains, “Stay Back 50 Feet” signs, rear backup light (flood lamp type), amber strobes rear, tow chain/cable/strap and reflectors/flares. Additionally, equipment shall meet all State of Alaska, Division of Motor Vehicles requirements. At the discretion of the Administrator, 3/4-inch serrated cutting edges shall be used and shall be paid at an additional 7% of the bid rate. No additional charge may be included for mounting or dismounting any additional equipment whether or not prescribed. Year-Round Use. 2000 Model Minimum Front-end Loader, (Volvo L90B, equal or better), rubber tires, 12 foot minimum hydraulic “V” plow (Rylind MDP 12H five-way plow or equivalent), four tire chains, minimum 4 cubic yard snow bucket, forks, quick disconnect attachments. “Stay Back 50 Feet” signs, rear back up light (flood lamp type), amber strobe rear, tow chain/cable/strap, and reflectors/flares. Additionally, equipment shall meet all State of Alaska, Division of Motor Vehicles requirements. No additional charge may be included for mounting or dismounting any additional equipment whether or not prescribed. Year-Round Use. Chassis mounted, fully enclosed van mounted Steam Boiler with operator & laborer, (CleaverBrooks model PS100-50 or Tex Steam 4992-40 HP or equivalent). Boiler shall be capable of maintaining a minimum of 130 psi steam pressure while utilizing two (2) 3/4 inch discharge lines simultaneously. Boiler shall have a minimum capacity of 400 gallons of water and 100 gallons of fuel. Rate shall include boiler operator and one (1) laborer. See Section. 4. for additional equipment, accessories, and tool requirements. Beacons, related safety equipment, exterior flood lights, studded snow tires, tire chains, tow cable/strap standard. Additionally, equipment shall meet all State of Alaska, Division of Motor Vehicles requirements. No additional charge may be included for mounting or dismounting any additional equipment whether or not prescribed. Winter use only.
