Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project will address HVAC systems, infrastructure and equipment including ventilation, filtration, and disinfection. This project requires replacing or retrofit and plan for the improvement of indoor air quality, mechanical filtration and to slow the transmission of viruses via the HVAC systems. This will provide additional protection to building occupants by enabling pre-programmed controls sequence of operations modes quickly and efficiently. All retrofits, replacements, modifications, and improvements will be required to meet Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) COVID-19 Ventilation in Schools Programs, Considerations for Institutions of Higher Education, ASHRAE guidelines (standards 55, 62, etc.) and ASHRAE Epidemic Task Force Schools & Universities report, updated 5/14/2021. New HVAC systems shall include air test & balancing, commissioning and certification, and end user training. The following deficiencies will be remedied: outdated HVAC systems, equipment and infrastructure, mechanical filtration, fresh air availability, and address code requirements and standards.
