The Minnesota Department of Agriculture intends to purchase a Waters Xevo TQ-XS Mass Spectrometer that will be used with Waters ACQUITY UPLC H-Class PLUS [LC] system to be used as a LCMS System.The purchase includes software and installation of the equipment. The LCMS System is dedicated to glyphosate analysis which requires specific instrument parameters and instrument software (MassLynx). Waters Xevo TQ-XS is the only Mass Spec system that can replace Waters Premier and meet the specific parameters and software requirements without the need for purchasing additional instrument parts. Waters Xevo TQ-XS will provide the lab improved LCMS system performance. The installation of the Xevo TQ-XS requires Waters Service Technicians who are trained for maintenance and installation service exclusive to Waters Brand instrument. Waters Corporation is the only manufacturer and supplier of Waters Brand instrumentation, software, supplies and maintenance services for Waters brand products. These products are available only through Waters Sales Representatives. Waters Sales and Service Technicians are Waters full-time employees. Waters does not hire any subcontractors to perform these highly specialized functions.
