Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Project Management This task includes project start-up, regular check-ins with City project management team, monthly status reports, and consultant team management. B. Wayfinding Concepts 1. Do a background review of relevant plans and policies 2. Hold a kick-off meeting with city staff 3. Conduct a field review and site assessment of wayfinding opportunities and constraints. This review should examine and record existing signage and infrastructure, important destinations, major arrival points and circulation routes. 4. Attend up to 4 meetings with a Wayfinding Advisory Team (to be organized by the city) 5. Attend up to 3 meetings with city committees 6. Attend one TCDA Board (City Council) meeting 7. Develop options for branding, color, typography and visual elements 8. Design memo summarizing preferences of Advisory Team and a recommended branding concept that will be used in signage design 9. Using input from staff and Advisory Team, produce three wayfinding design concepts 10. Produce meeting materials for the three concepts and attend a public meeting to be convened by city 11. Use same materials to develop an online survey for a “virtual open house” 12. Incorporate input from open house and produce a draft Preferred Wayfinding Design and present to staff and Advisory Team for comments 13. Produce final Wayfinding Design memo C. Wayfinding and Branding Plan The Wayfinding and Branding Plan will include: 1. Design of signs, including drawings that illustrate the intent of the design with sufficient detail to obtain a future competitive fabrication bid 2. Location map- a planning level placement map showing the sign types, the number of signs and their locations within city and ODOT rights of way. 3. Cost estimate to fabricate and install the signs 4. Draft Wayfinding and Branding Plan for staff comments 5. Final Wayfinding and Branding Plan and summary PowerPoint 6. Attend one TCDA Board (City Council) meeting D. Public Involvement Public involvement efforts will be led by the City. The consultant team will help prepare graphics and written material for use at a public open house, stakeholder meetings, and the City website. Consultant staff will also need to be present at public involvement activities to help answer questions and hear input.
