Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of the Facility is to serve as a hub for aid distribution, vaccination clinics, pandemic response activities, emergency management, and other response activities during and after emergencies. The Facility also will provide temporary shelter during emergencies such as a wildfire or earthquake evacuations and provide space for emergency support services with a place to set up a crisis management point. Rollup doors will be placed on the south exterior walls to maximize air circulation and aid emergency management teams in the ability to provide resources and serve victims. Showers will provide support to the temporarily unhoused victims and can be accessed from both the interior and exterior for those staying in vehicles in the parking lot. The commercial kitchen can be used to feed those sheltering within the facility and the teaching kitchen and concession stands can also be used to provide additional services if needed.
