Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government (LMG) is now accepting Proposals for one or more organizations to administer an Inclement Weather Emergency Hotel Voucher Program between November 15th, 2023 and April 30, 2024. With this program, LMG seeks to execute a grant agreement with one or more non-profit homeless services organizations to implement a program to provide shelter options and case management for persons who are homeless sleeping on the streets during inclementweather events. Louisville’s emergency shelters provide year-round shelter options for persons who are homeless.During inclement weather, the shelters become taxed and alternative shelter options are needed. TheInclement Weather Emergency Hotel Voucher Program is not intended to duplicate homeless servicesalready in place. Instead, it will work collaboratively with existing services to ensure that persons whoare homeless sleeping on the streets are provided service options during inclement weather events.LMG’s Homeless Services Division (HSD) regularly visits reported encampments to assess both the encampment as a whole and the individuals within the encampments in preparation for relocation and cleaning. As part of HSD’s work, individuals are offered connections and referrals to existing resources, including emergency shelters. This program is intended to target populations in Jefferson County at high risk during inclement weather with time-limited hotel vouchers and case management, including families, youths (ages 16-24), elderly (over 55), disabled, medically fragile, and persons who have beenhomeless for less than 30 days. Limited funding can also be used to provide transportation to supportreunification for persons not originally from Jefferson County
