Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit proposals that will enable the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (Agency) to select the most qualified contractor to conduct Quality Improvement Organization functions and other related activities for the Iowa Medicaid program. In addition, through this procurement, the Agency seeks to achieve the following outcome and key objectives: Outcome: Implement quality improvement efforts and initiatives within the scope of work leading to improved health measures for Iowa Medicaid members. Key Objectives: 1. Provide medical and Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS). 2. Provide quality oversight for Home and Community Based Services (HCBS), Money Follows the Person (MFP), and Habilitation programs. 3. Implement population health improvement special projects. 4. Provide project management and administrative support. In this effort, the Agency seeks vendors who will bring strategic solutions, processes, and business operations which can operate within the Agency's culture of continuous process improvement and proactive analysis. The goal of which is to support activities that lead to better health and performance outcomes for the program and effective oversight of the various delivery systems, including managed care.
