Specifications include, but are not limited to: The general scope of work for the Project includes, but is not limited to, excavation and construction of an approximately 70 acre foot capacity detention basin, excavation and construction for a 24 acre-ft expansion of an existing detention basin, utility coordination and relocations, significant earthwork, installation of pre-cast or cast-in-place box culverts with inlet and/or outlet armouring, grading, gravel road construction and surfacing, paving, demolition of fences, tree removal, traffic control, SWPP, and fencing. A significant amount of spoils will be generated given the major excavation associated with the construction/expansion of the detention basins. The CMAR must be prepared to determine and execute options for disposing of the spoils or utilizing in other projects, and the associated trucking involved with this element of the project. Maintaining good community relations during construction in the Switchback, Provider Way and Hutchison Acres neighborhoods is critical to success.
